Alison's 2nd selection for FedCup Team

Charleroi 04.02 – 05.02.2012

Alison Van Uytvanck was selected for the second time to present Belgium in Fed Cup against Serbia, for a place in the semifinal of the World Group.

Alison played her first match in Fed Cup and it was the decisive double with Yanina Wickmayer.

Unfortunately they lost in taught 3 sets.

Two of our young players, Morgan Michiels and Jozefine Wauters, were selected to present Belgium at the European Championships among girls -16 and -14.

Main draw Alison beet former top 10 player Patty Shnyder WTA 58 – the biggest win so far in her carrier. In the second round Alison lost in 2 tough sets to Yanina Wickmayer WTA 22.

This performance brought Alison to the best 300 players in the world.

Rue, France ( 12.09.2011 – 18.09.2011) Démonstration tournement. Alison Van Uytvanck in quarterfinal beet Pironkova ( BUL) WTA 49, 1/6 7/5 7/6. In semi-final Alison beet the runner-up of the junior US Open Garsia (FRA) 6/3 6/3. In the final Alison lost to Cetkovska ( CZE) WTA 32, 1/6 3/6
